Blaire Ziegan, left, and Anna Lee Tichenor study for their environmental policy class on Tuesday Nov. 13, 2018 in the Academic Instructional Center-West building at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash. “I’ve been putting stuff off,” Ziegan said. “So this quarter has sort of been a hustle.”
On the spot, my class was assigned to find a
last minute feature photo somewhere on campus. The first idea that came to my
mind was students studying since the quarter is coming to an end. Plus, this
time of the quarter for most students can be the most stressful with finishing
up class work and preparing for finals that are coming up in a couple weeks. I
saw these two girls studying in the Academic West building and thought that
they would make a good photo. The sun was shining behind them through the window
which created beautiful lighting. I found out that they were working on
homework that they've been putting off, so everything has been sort of a rush
for them. For a spontaneous assignment, I think this photo turned out pretty
well.
